Every time I turn on the computer I see this unfinished post wanting for me, nagging me like a long over-due library book.
When I sit down to write all I can think about is an assignment from the 3rd grade: How I spent my summer vacation. This is not helping to inspire me…
It’s not that I don’t want to finish it, really I do. It’s just that I’m so caught up in the move and starting a life somewhere new that it just seems… well like old news… but, I’ve promised myself to record ourĀ journey…so, I’ve decided to focus on the photos and post an album of our experiences sprinkled with a few comments for each of the 4 places we visited…
Here goes…….
After we left Sapa we took the train to Hai Phong and then after haggling with the mafia ticket ladies we hoped the ferry to Cat Ba Island and Ha long Bay. Where we did an over night on a Junk boat! We all had a blast.
Special thanks to Thedora at www.travelswithanineyearold.com who had just done this trip with her son and put us in the right direction to find a good deal.
Such an incredible world of experiences you have given to your children, dear Nikki. I am awed! Really, really inspiring. Blessings to you on your journeys. I can’t wait to see what is next for you. Beautiful photos!

Need to SEE you guys…pics are lovely, but so lonely for me. XOXO
I have a whole bunch of these, which I never finish: now trying to think of ways to do them, as, of course, I have to submit them to the imaginary teacher. So glad you enjoyed Halong Bay. Great pictures…
Just realized I removed the other three places we visited!!! Singapore, Malaysia and Bali!!
